ARTE ROMA AUCTIONS START THE SEASON WITH AN IMPORTANT AUCTION OF CHINESE, JAPANESE AND EUROPEAN ANTIQUE ART



Sale on 24 October 2017, The sale meets Asian and western art. The auction has an important collection from a prestigious roman family, consisting of Japanese and Chinese art from 17th to 19th century. Fine porcelain vases , bronze sculptures and a pair of 17th century cloisonnè sculptures in addition a pair of exeptional  19th century cloisonè vases are the high lights of the sale.Some of the works were purchased in international auction houses at the end of the 1970s.

An exceptional top lot  allows us to present a work of highly artistic value with an excellent level of preservation, "Madonna with child and San Giovannino" by artist Giovanni Cianfanini probably painted between 1480 and 1520. The painting has a well known pedigree, starting from the 1859 phillips auction, going through prestigiuos exposition in 1893 and two Sothebys auctions in the 20th century.

The auction also includes antique furniture and 19 th and beginning of  20th century paintings
